The RIA Spring Gathering 2026

Last Wednesday evening (22nd April) saw The RIA Spring Gathering #TRSG26 take place in London from 5pm, hosted by Red Bull London and Wings for Life – Spinal Cord Research Foundation.
Chris kicked off the evening with an overview of the Wings for Life World Run and the brilliant ongoing support from Running Industry Alliance (RIA) Members – whilst sharing new opportunities to get involved.
We heard from Rebecca (Becs) Richardson, RIA CEO – delivering the latest RIA Member Briefing, sharing exciting updates, new connection opportunities and key happenings across the year > all building towards The Running Conference 2026 presented by haku, 6th to 8th December.
We were also thrilled to host a brilliant industry panel discussion featuring: Nick Tuppen (Threshold Sports), Jackie Hoffman (Peace Runners 773), Alessio Punzi (World Athletics) Sophie Power (SheRACES) and Barry Hopkins (England Athletics) discussing “From Elite to Everyone: How Performance Becomes Participation” A powerful conversation that also highlighted some of the risks in the current industry that we shouldn’t ignore. Honest, open, and exactly the kind of dialogue our sector needs right now.
We had the best time together, and we want to say a big thank you for all the brilliant images to our photography partner Sportograf GmbH & Co. KG.
Bringing our RIA Members together from across the sector – sharing challenges, doing business in person, and collectively looking ahead at what’s next – this is exactly what it’s all about. There’s something powerful about being in a room with people who care deeply about moving the industry forward. The ideas sparked, the connections made, and the willingness to collaborate felt stronger than ever – existing Members, new Members, all together in one space connected by RIA and passionate about the business of running. Events like this are a reminder of the impact we can have when we come together with purpose.
